DownCitySignal's mission is to provide the highest quality music from a single geographic location -- Rhode Island -- to the ears of an entire planet. We believe that the real music scene in Rhode Island, like many across the country, is still unknown. The absence of local music from local airwaves is not by accident, it is a deliberate policy by those in the industry to eliminate competition for your money.
DownCitySignal is the streaming network for RattleHead Records, and features only music from their libraries, provided to them by the artists themselves. Our in-studio shows feature local hosts and local artists, and our live streams and rebroadcasts are all from local venues. Our goal is to deliver your music scene, to you.
We provide streaming services for other people outside of our geographic area as well; churches, political organizations, schools, coffee shops... anyone that has audio they need to deliver regularly to the world. We will have a more specific services page soon, please inquire directly if you want to become part of the streaming revolution!
Our mission is simply one of freedom: the freedom for anyone to be heard, the freedom for us to play anyone who wants to be heard, and the freedom for you to listen to anyone you want to listen to.
